# Adding Catch-Up/Extra Lessons

## Creating one-off or make-up lessons to manage student absences

Absences are unavoidable whether due to emergencies, illness, or unforeseen circumstances. Sometimes classes need to be rescheduled due to factors like bad weather. To help students catch up on missed lessons, you can add extra sessions or rearrange the timetable.

#### To create additional lessons

If you'd like to add an extra session:

1. Click `<` to the right of `Classes`.
2. In the expanded menu click `View All`.
3. Select the season and locate the class (or use the global search feature).
4. Navigate to the `Lessons` tab.
5. Click `Add Lesson`.
6. Enter the details of the catch-up lesson, including the date, venue, staff, interval, and timeframe.
7. Once done, click `Save`.

All enrolled students will automatically be added to the register. You can remove those who won't be attending if necessary.

📝 Please note: This action will not automatically affect previously created invoices. If you charge your customers per lesson, you can navigate to `Billing` \> `Invoices` \> (Check the box next to the invoices) \> `Group Actions` \> `Refresh Prices` to include these additional classes in the invoice. Please ensure that the invoices are in draft status to make amendments.

Adding catch-up lessons ensures that students stay on track with their learning journey despite any disruptions. It's a flexible way to accommodate missed sessions and maintain continuity in the classroom.
