Cashless Membership - Introduction

Terminal Card Payments (Chip & Pin + Contactless) directly in Class Manager app

Cashless membership a completely free subscription that you can opt in to have at any time with Class Manager. You will just need an online payment method active (GoCardless or Stripe), and you will need to purchase a card reader from the links attached below. This is to ensure you can take face-to-face payments directly on the Class Manager app and keep the full history and invoices of everything sold to each of your customers.

Cashless membership requires you to process 80% of all payments on Class Manager via Stripe, Stripe Link or GoCardless. If the percentage of your total transactions drop below 80% then your subscription will automatically be reverted back to a basic subscription again where you are charged the monthly/annual subscription fees and you are charged the transaction fees.

Cashless membership will charge your customers 2.97% transaction fee + Stripe/GoCardless fees. (For example; if a lesson cost £10, the customer pays £10 + fees and you will receive £10).

Payments paid with a Stripe terminal have different transaction fees to payments paid online. You can check and change these transaction fees to whatever you want by heading to Billing > Settings > Payment Method > Edit (for Debit/Credit Card) or (GoCardless)

When changing the transaction fee percentages, if the total amount is more than the default then you will get paid the extra. If the total amount is less than the default then you will be charged the remainder.


Please note if you have both GoCardless and Stripe activated then if you change the fee for one, the other will change to match as they have to be equal.

The customers can view the exact amount of fees from invoices in emails and when making a payment as the confirmation page shows this under 'Platform Fee'.


Transaction fees apply to all online payments (including Stripe Link).


If you have a payment plan set up for customers then the transaction fee will be applied to each instalment as they are made, and not the total amount.

The same applies to customers that part pay invoices (they'll pay more in total if they are part paying as they will be paying transaction fees more than once)

To change over to cashless or to revert back to a basic subscription, please contact customer services.

Class Manager does not contact your customers to inform them of this change in your subscription, so if you did want to make them aware then it would be advised to inform your customers before requesting action from customer services.

If you already have an annual subscription, any remaining time will be refunded.
