Custom Discounts for Specific Students

If you have a discount scheme set up, but a particular student qualifies for a special discount, you can bypass the general discount rules and assign a unique, ongoing discount to their profile.

This ensures that whenever you generate an invoice for the customer, the student's unique discount is applied instead of the default discount scheme.

Here’s how to set it up:

1. Click < to the right of Students.
2. In the expanded menu click View All. (Or use the global search feature to quickly locate the customer profile)
3. Search for the student you want to apply the discount to.

4. Once you’re in the customer’s profile, navigate to the Settings tab.

5. Make sure the Discountable box is checked.

6. On the right side, under Additional Discounts, you’ll see a list of options. Choose the type of discount you want to apply:

   • Additional discount per student (Fixed Discount £): A fixed discount for the student.
     Example: £5 off the student total

   • Percent from student items (Percent discount): A percentage-based discount on the total student amount.
     Example: 5% off a £100 student total results in a £5 discount

7. Enter the discount value, choose where the discount should be applied, and then click Save.

Now, whenever you generate an invoice for this customer, it will ignore the standard discount scheme and apply the custom discount you've set up. 🙌
