Enabling Partial Payments for Stripe

Allow customers to adjust the payment amount when paying by card. Learn how to enable or disable this feature.

When customers pay via debit or credit card using our Stripe integration, they can change the payment amount by default. This feature is useful for scenarios like a separated couple splitting a bill, allowing each party to pay a portion. Here's an example of how it looks to customers:

While this feature is helpful for some, we understand that not everyone wants it. Here’s how you can disable or enable partial payments:

To Enable Partial Payments:

1. Click < to the right of Billing.
2. In the expanded menu click Settings and then Payment Methods.
3. Click Edit next to the Debit/Credit Card payment method.
4. Toggle the Allow Part Payments option to Enable.
5. Click Save to apply the changes.
   
   

If you want to disable this feature in the future, follow the same steps, but toggle the option back to disable. Don't forget to hit 'Save' once done.

This simple adjustment lets you control whether customers can split payments or must pay in full.
