When a Student Drops Out or Withdraws from a Class
At times, the student leaves the school, or perhaps they've departed and no longer wish to continue the class. In such cases, you can remove or detach them from the class.
To detach a student from a class:
- Click
<
to the right ofClasses
. - In the expanded menu click
View All
. - Select the season and click the class (or use our handy global search feature).
- Head over to the
Student List
tab. - Click
Attach/Detach
. - Toggle the attending button, this should automatically save their status in the class.
📝 If you've already invoiced the class, please note that detaching students won't automatically remove the class from the invoice. To make sure you only charge for the classes they’re still attending, you'll want to regenerate the invoice after detaching the student.
If the invoice has already been paid, no worries! You can easily add a credit for the amount, which will be deducted from their next invoice. And if they paid through Stripe or GoCardless, you can simply log into your account there to issue a refund.
Keeping your student records accurate ensures smooth class and invoice management. After detaching a student, always double-check their invoices to reflect any necessary adjustments. If a refund or credit is needed, take the appropriate steps to update their account. This helps maintain transparency and ensures families are billed correctly.
