Learn why email limits exist, how they're calculated, and what the recent updates mean for your school.
Why am I seeing a daily email limit?
You may have received a notification saying you’ve reached your daily email limit. This limit was originally introduced to help prevent spammy behaviour and ensure reliable email delivery across the system.
The good news? Based on recent customer feedback, we've made updates to increase these limits and make them more flexible, especially during busy periods.
What are the email limits?
To help ensure smooth and reliable delivery of emails, Class Manager uses dynamic email limits based on your recent usage.
Here’s how it works:
-
Message limit: You can send up to 2× your daily average or 100 messages (custom messages), whichever is higher.
-
Recipient limit: You can send to 2× your daily average number of recipients or 5000 recipients, whichever is higher.
For example:
-
If you've been sending about 100 messages per day on average, your new daily limit is 200 messages.
-
If you usually email 3000 recipients per day, your new recipient limit is 6000.
Your average is based on your email activity over the last 30 days. So if your email volume grows, your limits will grow with you.
These limits are designed to scale as your communication needs increase, while never dropping below 100 messages or 5000 recipients per day.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep the system running smoothly for everyone.
