Changing Student Status to Inactive

Managing Student Status While Keeping Records

At times, you may encounter situations where a student temporarily leaves the school, or perhaps they've departed but you still wish to retain their records. In such cases, you can designate them as inactive, ensuring they remain stored within your account without receiving invoices or being added to classes.

To make students inactive:

  1. Click < to the right of Students.
  2. In the expanded menu click View All.
  3. Locate the student's profile (or use the global search).
  4. After opening their page, click on Edit.
  5. Within the 'Other Information' section, you'll find the option to change the student's status to Inactive and be sure to save your changes.

Once a student is inactive, they will be detached from any active or upcoming classes.

📝 If a student isn't currently enrolled in any classes, they won't be automatically marked as inactive. This means that their status will remain active in the system, even though they are not participating in any classes unless you choose to mark them as inactive.
