Find out how you can set up paid trial lessons.
In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of setting up paid trials on your Class Manager account. Offering paid trial lessons is a great way to attract new customers and generate revenue for your classes.
Firstly, ensure that you have enabled trial classes on your account. If you haven't done so yet, refer to our guide on ➡️ Setting Up Class Trials.
Additionally, you'll need to enable Stripe (debit/credit card) as a payment method to allow customers to pay for trial lessons online during booking.
Enable trials and set price:
- Click

. - In the expanded menu click
View All
. - Select the season and locate the class (or use the global search feature).
- Navigate to the
Trials
tab. - Check the box
Allow Lesson Trials
. - Enter the trial lesson price.
- Remember to
Save
all settings after making changes.
📝 Please note that trials not paid within 48 hours will be automatically deleted to make space for others trying to book.
What if I don't use Stripe (debit/credit card) as a payment method, can I still offer paid trial lessons?
You can still manage and accept trial bookings. Here's how:
Online booking (customers book online via parent portal or trials link)
- Enable trials and set the price as described above.
- Once a customer books trial lessons online, they will receive an invoice via email along with your available payment methods. They can also see and download the invoice via the Billing section if they are booking through the parent portal.
- Once they've paid, go to your lesson trials list to mark it as paid:

. - In the expanded menu click
Trials
. - Toggle the Status to Inactive and use the search bar to quickly locate them.
- Check the box on the left of the student's name, then click
Mark as Paid
.
- Click
- Their trial will now become Active.
Manual adding (you create a trial as admin)
- Enable trials and set the price as described above.
- Go to the student profile:
- Click

. - In the expanded menu click
View All
. - Locate the student's profile that you wish to add a trial for.
- Open their profile by selecting their name, and going to the
Lessons
tab, you'll find an option toCreate
. - Select the relevant season, class, and lesson day and time they are trialling.
- If the customer has already paid, tick
Mark as Paid
. If not leave the box unchecked. ClickCreate Lesson Trials
after. - Confirm by clicking
Create
.
- Click
- Customers will receive an email asking them to complete the payment. Once received, mark their trial as paid in your trials list as described above.
